13/10/09 News just in
It has been announced that we are finalists in this years True Taste of Wales Awards for Online Retailer of the Year as well as finalist for Swansea Bay Woman of the Year.
Another busy time for us ahead, I now have an addition to my team of one! The lovely Andrea has joined me here at Gower Cottage and is on hand every morning to help you with your orders and handle any queries you may have.
You may have heard that due to the unsatisfactory service recently provided by Royal Mail, we have chosen to use a Courier Company, which guarantees next day delivery, in order to ensure the best service for you, this allows us to track all our gift boxes and we are extremely pleased to be able to re-assure you that your orders will be received on time.
We have also just installed our new credit card facility which means you can contact us on 01792 390011 and pay for your Gower Cottage Brownies over the phone.
Finally, you can now follow our day to day Brownie Business on Twitter at www.twitter.com/gowercottage where there are weekly competitions to win Free Boxes of Gower Cottage Brownies.
Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Fabulous news just in, Gower Cottage Brownies won at this years True Taste Awards, shown on ITV Wednesday 12th November, the evening was great fun and even better hearing our name being called out. With the new packaging on its way, it looks set to be a very busy Christmas.
Also, Kate has been chosen as a finalist in the Swansea Bay Business Woman of the Year Awards, more posh frocks to sort out! The Awards Dinner is on 26th November, once again,more news when we have it.

We seem to be on a roll….not only did we win a Gold Star in this year’s Great Taste Awards, but we have now just been confirmed as finalists in this years True Taste Awards.
It should prove to be a nerve wracking evening in November to find out the results! More news of course when we have it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I can also let you know that UK TV Food contacted me to say congratulations in coming in the Top 5 for Wales but that they had unfortunately taken the decision not to put us forward for this year’s programme! So they have recognised our achievement by awarding us a Highly Commended Certificate.
A huge thank you to everyone who voted, although they will not disclose the number of votes we got, it is clear by the number of reviews that we received that we ranked very highly, achieving more reviews than all of their selected finalists put together! Well done all of you.
More news on our new branding, logo and packaging will be forthcoming as soon as we have it, it will be all up and running ready for the Christmas rush.
The first people to receive the brand new packaging will of course be the winner and runners up in our competition that we launched to find our new name.
I really hope you will all like the new look, although be assured we will be retaining our home baked rustic image. And please remember that all of Kate’s home cooked brownies are always freshly cooked to order.
