- During the checkout process we have provided an automated post code / address checker which is linked to the Royal Mail address/post code database. At the end of the ordering process you are given the opportunity to review your order and confirm the delivery details. Finally a confirmation email will be sent again providing the recipient details for your review, and an opportunity to correct the address on the order within the system. We are also able to make any corrections that you might request, as long as this is recieved by 9am on the day the brownies are shipped. (ie 1 working day before delivery is expected)
- If you have over-ridden this service, and subsequently made an error in the recipient address, and then not taken advantage of the opportunities provided to check your recipient details, then Gower Cottage Brownies take no responsibility for mis-addressed parcels. Similarly if the delivery address provided does not provide sufficient information for successful delivery to made then Gower Cottage Brownies take no responsibility for any failed delivery.
- We work in partnership with DPD Couriers who offer next working day delivery Monday to Friday (for the Highland and Islands, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, IOM etc we ship using Tracked Royal Mail and it can take a day or two longer), orders placed by 10am (mon to fri) can be dispatched that same day. Deliveries can be made between 8am and 8pm they do not require a signature.
- On the day of delivery DPD will send you an email with delivery confirmation and an estimated 2 hour delivery slot. The link in this email will allow you to manage your delivery in case there's no one home, you can arrange to leave safe, deliver to neighbours, change day etc (We suggest you download the DPD app which makes this super easy).
- DPD will make every effort to communicate the delivery options prior to the day of delivery, with their default option being to leave in a safe location, since the brownies are well packaged in cardboard and a waterproof bag. Should you not wish for DPD to leave safe, please ensure that you use the options provided by DPD to change delivery day, leave with neighbour etc.
- Shipments with a monday delivery date leave us on a friday (don't worry they all ship with a best before of 10 days and will be in perfect condition when they arrive), however it is possible that these may be delivered any time across the weekend. Unfortunately this is out of our control as many courier depots are now working throughout the weekend due to the increased demand they have seen over the past year. (please note that we are unable to offer this service or guarantee that a weekend delivery will take place)

Unfortunately we are unable to guarantee any delivery dates.
We work very hard to ensure we ship from our end on time, and the couriers do everything they can to have it there when we said it would be. We all know that sometimes things happen beyond our control, whether it’s snowy weather or chocolate being spilt over the road (not us, but it did happen).
In line with the Sale of Goods Act, should the recipient or occupier at the delivery address refuse to accept the delivery without reasonable cause then Gower Cottage Brownies do not accept any liability arising from the neglect or refusal to take delivery.
A bit like with Christmas, if in doubt, order early. If you’re ordering for something like a wedding or birthday party, then we’d suggest you consider having the delivery a day or two before the event. With a shelf life of 10 days, you will always get to enjoy our brownies in perfect condition.

- Returns & Replacements
- Gower Cottage Brownies is a company built on reputation and word of mouth. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service. Any problems will be dealt with swiftly, if you are in anyway unhappy with any of our service we will of course offer free replacements wherever necessary.
- Viewing Orders / Changing orders
- All your previous orders are saved and we have included a convenient 'Reorder' button.
- If you have created an account during the checkout, then you are able to amend your order (delivery address/gift message) for up to 1 hour after placing the order by following the link in the confirmation email.
- Last minute changes requested on the day of shipment may incur an additional charge to cover administrative costs.
- Updating Account Information
- You may update your address and account information once logged into your account.
